What a week of working capital is for

  • Payroll

A big invoice pays late and Friday still comes.

  • Inventory

Stock offered at a discount that will not wait.

  • Equipment

A replacement that costs less than going without.

  • Vehicle repair

The van is the business. It has to run.

  • A tax bill

Due on a date that ignores your cash cycle.

How it works

Three steps, and the longest one is a minute.

  1. An owner filling in a request on a laptop at her desk
    1

    You state the amount

One figure, your name, your email and your ZIP. About a minute, and nothing is submitted until you have seen the full request.

  2. An owner at the counter of her shop going through the day's takings
    2

    We read the deposits

3 months of receipts, not two years of filed accounts. What lands in the account is the only thing the advance is priced against.

  3. An owner in her workshop beside a stack of packed orders
    3

    One number is agreed

The total you will remit and the share taken from each day's receipts, both quoted before anything is signed. There is no rate to work out afterwards.

Then the money moves — as soon as the next business day, once the agreement is executed and verification is complete.

What an advance is

You are selling something, not borrowing it.

It is a purchase
We buy a set share of the receipts your business is going to take, and pay you for that share today. What arrives is the price of something you sold.
It is not a schedule
Remittance is a small share of each day's receipts, taken as they land. A quiet week remits less and takes longer. There is no instalment date to miss.
It is one fixed cost
Agreed before you accept, quoted in dollars, and the same figure on the last day as on the first. Nothing accrues, so nothing grows if it runs long.

Side by side

Next to the thing it is not.

The question

A TrueFunds advance

A typical fixed-term plan

What it is

A purchase of a set share of your future receivables

A sum advanced against a fixed schedule

What the price is called

One fixed cost, in dollars, agreed before you accept

An interest rate, usually expressed as an APR

What you remit

A small share of daily receipts, collected as they land

A fixed instalment on a fixed date

A slow week

Remits less, because it is a share of what you took

The instalment is the same as any other week

When it ends

The day the agreed amount has been met. Nothing renews

At the end of the term, or when it is refinanced

A general comparison of two products, not advice about which one suits your business.

Eligibility

Four things we need. Three we never ask for.

  • A business bank account the deposits actually land in
  • At least 3 months of trading, counted from your first deposit
  • An average of $5,000 a month over the last 3 months
  • A business registered in the United States, outside California and New York

Never required

  • A fee paid in advance in exchange for a promise of funding
  • Personal collateral pledged against the advance
  • A minimum score before we will look at the account

These are the conditions we check on every request. Meeting them is not an approval, and nothing on this page is an offer of funding.

Security

What we never ask you for.

A funding request needs your name, business email and ZIP. It does not need anything that could be used to move money.

  • We never ask for a bank login

This site does not ask for and does not store a bank login, a card number, a bank account number or a Social Security number.

  • Nothing is written from your browser

There is no database client in the page. Writes happen only in server-side handlers, with a key that never reaches the browser bundle.

  • Every connection is encrypted

TLS with HTTP Strict Transport Security at a two-year max-age, submitted for browser preloading, so a first visit cannot go over plain HTTP.

Questions

The ones people ask before they apply.

How is this different from bank financing?

Bank financing advances money against a promise to pay it back with interest. TrueFunds buys a portion of the receivables your business is already going to collect, at a fixed cost agreed in advance. There is no interest, no APR and no amortisation schedule.

How small can an advance be?

$100. The ceiling is $5,000. There is no larger tier hidden behind this one, and there is no minimum we quietly enforce above the published floor.

What do you need from me?

A business bank account, at least 3 months of trading, and an average of $5,000 a month in revenue over that period. We do not ask for filed accounts or for personal collateral.

Does checking my options leave a mark?

No. Reviewing your options is a soft inquiry and leaves your score untouched. If a request moves forward, we will tell you before anything is run and you can stop at that point.

How is remittance actually collected?

As a small fixed share of the receipts that land in your business account, taken as they arrive. A slower week remits less and takes longer. The total figure never changes.

How fast does the money arrive?

Funds can reach your account as soon as the next business day once the agreement is executed and verification is complete. Timing depends on your bank and on how quickly documents come back.

Which states do you fund in?

Every state except California and New York. Products are offered for commercial purposes only and are not available for personal, family or household use.

What if my business does not qualify?

We will tell you, in plain language, rather than leaving the request open. You are welcome to send it anyway if you are close to the minimums, and we will be honest about whether there is anything we can do.
